I do not support co-governance. One person, one vote and all votes are equal.

Any major decision that impacts our democracy requires full consultation and majority support from my community prior to enactment.

Schedule public meetings for the whole year at regular intervals. Listening to community before implementing changes is most important.

Encourage diversity and inclusiveness in public participation inviting representatives of all communities together.

Overhaul council's internal operations to provide seamless and efficient services to ratepayers.

Ensure consultation is meaningful and council interactions are authentic, respectful and encouraging. Listen to the people! Team Kaipara!

Structure a sustainable council that delivers the core services well. Public relations and unnecessary bureaucracy are kept to a minimum.

Restore Mana Whenua Fora so that the whole community becomes engaged in council processes.
