Why I'm standing

I promise professional and business-like advocacy for our community. The most important crop produced on the Taieri is people and families. Our people need strong representation to ensure that our Taieri community continues to prosper and is no longer ignored by the Dunedin City Council. My motivation is to serve our community. Fees received for my public service will be returned to a Mosgiel-based charity, in their entirety.

About me

I expect to pay taxes and rates, but I have an equal expectation that those taxes and rates will be used prudently to improve our communities for the benefit of all, and to look after those who are less fortunate than us. I believe that the role of the Mosgiel-Taieri Community Board members and the Dunedin City councillors is to ensure that happens in the most effective way possible.

My priorities
  1. Ensure the dysfunctional relationship between the Dunedin City Council and the Taieri community is rebuilt.
  2. Ensure that the Taieri Gorge Rail Corridor is reconfigured to deliver benefit for the Taieri.
  3. Remove heavy trucks from the heart of our town and ensure the Dunedin City Council follows through.
