Otago Peninsula Community Board

The Otago Peninsula Community Board represents your local community and advocates to Dunedin City Council about local issues, including public transport and facilities such as libraries and parks. The board is made up of six members. This is a single transferable vote (STV) election, so you vote by ranking the candidates on your ballot paper.     Enable council services to better fund rental homes being certified Healthy Homes.

  • Introduce more council housing with affordable rents for low-income earners. Government funding should be available.

    Make the building consent process less arduous for developers and builders.

    Develop a variety of green spaces and streetscapes s for communities. Funding from the Dunedin City Council for the completion of the Pump Park in Portobello.

  • Push the council into building footpaths for safer and better accessibility in higher risk areas.
