Onepoto General Ward
The Porirua City Council provides local services and facilities, such as public transport, rubbish and recycling, libraries, parks, and recreation facilities. It also makes decisions about building and planning, local regulations, and infrastructure, such as water supply and sewerage. The council is made up of 10 councillors and the mayor. Councillors are elected to represent wards (areas in the city). Five councillors will be elected from the Onepoto ward. Why I'm standing

Voters have invested a lot of faith in me by voting me in twice before and now I need their vote again so I can use my experience to benefit our city. I want to see Porirua continue to thrive and continue its strong focus on... infrastructure, community, climate change, carbon reduction, cleaning up our harbour and at the same time building more homes.

About me

I'm a Porirua boy from way back. Voters here have given me the honour of serving two terms as a councillor. In that time I have developed a broad understanding of the strengths and stresses of our city. I'm a straight-shooter. What you see is what you get. I love our city and I am not afraid of hard work, nor am I afraid to ask hard questions.
