Why I'm standing

This is a spectacular place! You're here, you're not alone. I'm standing to connect people to council. Problem finding + problem solving = better life design. Well designed life = wellbeing in well places. Our problems become our stories. We can all get stuck in our stories; Queenstown Lakes District has wicked problems. The type resistant to solutions – housing, effective transport, climate change adaptation, boosting a stretched workforce. I stand with you, make life better.

About me

Deciding which problems to work on matters. We can lose years working on wrong stuff. I bring: (1) Curiosity – I listen to learn. (2) Bias to action – I'll get stuff done. (3) Reframing – let's declutter, focus attention. (4) Awareness – current local conditions, councils remit to act. (5) Radical collaboration – great life design takes teams. One person can create a work of art, but life design needs inputs of many.

My priorities
  1. People focused: build communities, respond to local conditions, improve places we call home.
  2. Productivity: regenerate business. Boost workforce. Enable change to meet local demands.
  3. Place: target issues that matter, look after the place. Work collaboratively, respect the environment.
