Why I'm standing

Deeply committed to local issues Guy Wishart brings passion and energy to the local board. Severely affected by flooding last year, he is now part of a working group developing a Community Emergency Response Plan. He is focused on improving community facilities and transport infrastructure for a fast-growing population.

About me

Chairman of Kumeū Community Action, he has been a tireless advocate on transport, education, planning, and environmental issues. Guy is president of Huapai-Kumeū Lions, vice-chair of Kumeū Arts, and a committee member of the business association.

My priorities
  1. Improve the quality and quantity of public facilities for families in the North West as we are way behind.
  2. Advocate for flood mitigation given the devastation to businesses and residences in the 2021 floods.
  3. Increase the public transport options for the North West as it will encourage growth, reduce frustration.
