Why I'm standing

I am unhappy with the increasingly authoritarian, we know best style of governance in recent years. We are strangled by bureaucratic red tape at every turn and the concerns of many are simply ignored. Many of those who have voiced their concerns have been either ridiculed or legally stifled by authorities. It was time to stand up for my belief in common sense and free speech.

About me

As a long-time union member I appreciate the power of the collective. As a journalist I realise there are at least two sides to every story. I believe everyone has the right to have their voice heard. I will listen and work with the community to ensure the voices of Riverhead and Kumeū locals are heard.

My priorities
  1. Push for immediate construction of traffic islands to help reduce intolerable road congestion.
  2. Oppose the Three Waters scheme.
  3. Encourage increased community involvement with council decision-making.
