Rolleston Ward

The Selwyn District Council provides local services and facilities, such as public transport, rubbish and recycling, libraries, parks, and recreation facilities. It also makes decisions about building and planning, local regulations, and infrastructure, such as water supply and sewerage. The council is made up of 10 councillors and the mayor. Councillors are elected to represent wards (areas in the district). Three councillors will be elected from the Rolleston ward. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper. I am running to ensure public consultation leads to local decisions, for example no to Three Waters.

About me

I am a construction engineer who has worked on major projects for over 40 years. Including Te Kaha and Lincoln University. I can bring this experience to support Selwyn's new facilities.

My priorities

Allow the community to make its own informed decisions regarding the Three Waters legislation.
Ensure that we implement the Rolleston flyover right first time and that it is future proof.
Sustainable housing development to support our district's growth.
