Why I'm standing

For the past 12 years we have lived in Rolleston and love living here. But in that time I have seen ways the area could improve so I became involved with advocating to council on a few issues. I found the best way to effect change is to be sitting at the council table so I stood for council in 2016 and have now been on council since then.

About me

I have an environmental planning and engineering background so can question technical information presented to council. I have also proven that I am an effective advocate as have been involved with advocating for Rolleston Drive kea crossing and more money for footpaths before I was on council. Now with my time on council I have been involved with advocating for more mode shift, road safety, public art, and the playing turfs.

My priorities
  1. Continue to advocate for more mode shift options therefore more cycleways/paths and public transport services.
  2. Continue to advocate for scenic cycleway project through the district for economic benefit.
  3. Ensure council adheres to the accessibility charter principles as I have already been following.
