Why I'm standing

I believe that the Selwyn District has a lot to offer its residents. Continued growth has placed pressure on the local school rolls. Additional schools are needed in the area. Adequate parking and access ways are required across the district to allow safe passage for our tamariki to and from school.

About me

I have taught in the primary education sector for the past 25 years. The focus was always to have the learner at the centre of the decisions. All of the age ranges count in this district and each demographic has its own set of needs to meet. I am an excellent communicator and I will listen to and respond to suggestions. I collaborate well with others and value other points of view.

My priorities
  1. Maintain existing roads and make improvements to several high-risk intersections.
  2. Review the parking and accessibility for all our local schools.
  3. Review our zoning procedures to limit medium density housing areas within the Rolleston ward.
