Why I'm standing

I truly care and want to reduce rates, which can be done I feel. There needs to be better customer service. There needs to be fairness overall, and people allowed to present at all council meetings and to all annual plans. There needs to be more arts and sports in Southland. There need to be formal certificates of appreciation for all volunteers available from council. There is a need for improved dog control in Southland.

About me

I truly care. Have been a ratepayer in Southland since 2013. Have done lots of volunteer work including for RSA and Salvation Army so know the value of caring. Worked in Council Environment for eight years. Qualifications in sports, art, compliance and regulatory, horticulture, teaching etc. Successful sportswoman (World Masters Games Medalist for running 2017, Sports Blues Awards, etc.) Know the important value of healthy lifestyle and want to encourage more of this.

My priorities
  1. Reduce rates.
  2. Better and fairer customer service.
  3. Better dog control.
