  • Ensure character of town is retained despite the planned changes relating to the Resource Management Act 1991.

  • Providing progressively more affordable pensioner housing within the ward. There is a waiting list for occupation which needs to be reduced.

Maintaining existing parks and reserves for the benefit of residents and ensuring that new subdivisions have provisions for such areas.

  • Stop rezoning suburbs to stop the proposed higher density housing. Create pensioner housing as Waipā District Council has a greying population.

Stop any subdivisions for the time being. Ensure that our towns stay as the rural towns as they are.

  • I do not support the Proposed Plan Change 26 forced on us by government. We do need affordable housing but not three stories high anywhere.

I do support infill and that we should be cautious with our rate of growth as once productive land has houses on it we have lost it forever.

Ensure that community board on behalf of Te Awamutu, Kihikihi and Kakepuku residents have input into the spatial plan before it is set in concrete.
