Thames-Coromandel District Council

South Eastern Ward
The Thames-Coromandel District Council provides local services and facilities, such as public transport, rubbish and recycling, libraries, parks, and recreation facilities. It also makes decisions about building and planning, local regulations, and infrastructure, such as water supply and sewerage. The council is made up of nine councillors and the mayor. Councillors are elected to represent wards (areas in the district). Two councillors will be elected from the South Eastern ward. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper.     Support protecting our flora and fauna and predators and pests need to be kept under control.

    Sustainability is very important and waste must be recycled and reduced.

  • Support Thames Coromandel District Council water plants with healthy water to urban towns. Three waters, support water and economic regulator not water service entities bill.

    Implement NES – F (national environmental standards for fresh water) and indigenous biodiversity, support Waikato Regional Council pest control funding program

    Meet legal obligations and achieve affordable and positive environment outcomes. Move management of transfer stations to local communities.
