Why I'm standing

I have really enjoyed serving my community through volunteering over the last 30 years, including most recently as chair of Sumner Bays Union Trust, seeing people and communities prosper. And I would like to be to build on this at a more influential level. I love living here and want to see us all grow and thrive.

About me

I truly believe it's not about me, it's all about the community. They know their challenges and often the best solutions. It is my job to listen and be the conduit to coordinate the solutions with the appropriate bodies. I have had great mentors in community development, especially in my time on Sumner Bays Union Trust Board, and have seen the positive long term benefits to the communities involved.

My priorities
  1. Protect our people. Communities, individuals in all their diversities and local business people.
  2. Protect our place. Biodiversity, ecology, recreation and shared spaces.
  3. Protect our future. Sustainability in transport, business, home and resource management.
