Waipapa Papanui-Innes-Central Community Board

The Waipapa Papanui-Innes-Central Community Board represents your local community and advocates to Christchurch City Council about local issues, including public transport and facilities such as libraries and parks. The board is made up of nine members: six members elected by voters, including two members from your area, and three councillors from the Christchurch City council. I believe local democracy starts at the community level and I want to ensure our community's voice is fully represented at the council table. In the past I have had the pleasure of presenting community concerns to our local community board and I fully appreciate how this results in action. I want to be part of that process.

I am a good listener and don't get side tracked by excessive noise. I can clearly summarise and articulate complex issues. This is a key requirement for anyone wanting to be heard and understood within the council environment.
