  • Opening of Prestons Park Drive to Mairehau Road to ensure safety and accessibility.

Improve footpath accessibility for people of all abilities across the ward.

  • Building Consents: we need to make it easier to apply and the period to apply shorter allowing for multiple dwellings on the one consent.

Council housing: we need to diversify and provide more council housing into different suburbs to be socially friendly.

Land supply and zoning: we need to think about moving parks or supplying more suitable land for development in the north of the city.

  • Make a plan to fix the vacuum sewer systems in Aranui and Shirley. The whole plan may be over 20 years. Short term they must be repaired.

Cookie cutter building consents – council have plans donated by people that have built, so others can copy/build the same plans.

Council housing – it is unacceptable to take 10 more years before the stock is pre 2010 numbers. Money must be invested here by council.
