Why I'm standing

Our ward still has so much earthquake legacy work outstanding. It is appalling and a travesty we have been neglected and 'forgotten'. There's so much remediation required and seeing money spent on unnecessary projects elsewhere is demoralising. Residents have lost faith in the government and council as they have been through dozens of consultations where their input has not mattered. It's a fantastic place to live and we deserve so much better.

About me

I'm a fourth generation resident and just love the area I know so well. My parents were very community orientated and involved in clubs, associations, etc. My father was also elected as a city councillor for two terms, so my sisters and I grew up 'helping communities'. I am a very balanced person, independent and like to see all sides. I'm the current Coastal-Burwood Ward Deputy Chair, and keen to complete unfinished business and new.

My priorities
  1. Earthquake legacy remediation has to be top. We have waited over 10 years. We need equity and action.
  2. Coastal Hazards and our stormwater system, especially infrastructure by our rivers, estuary and lagoon.
  3. Community safety initiatives. With an increase in crime and anti-social activity this is essential.
