Why I'm standing

I think the potential of West Harbour lies in its people. I want a community board that enables connections within and between our community and local government, empowering us all to drive positive change; to our interpersonal relationships, environment and consequently our facilities, services and infrastructure. I'm running for community board because I believe I can be a part of making this happen.

About me

I've lived and worked in West Harbour for the past 15 years. I have diverse experience with community organisations both in a professional and voluntary capacity, in membership and governance roles. I am a union regional delegate, and have worked in health administration for the past six years. I am a mum to two boys with a wealth of life experience that combined with the above will make me an excellent community board member.

My priorities
  1. Facilitate greater transparency around board activities to strengthen community civic engagement.
  2. Improve relationship with local rūnanga and community groups to grow our collective community identity.
  3. Promote West Harbour to greater Dunedin/Ōtepoti for our improved social and economic well-being.
