Why I'm standing
I believe Dunedin was beautiful, but I am worried that it is losing its beauty. The work that is happening on George street has made the place look shabby. No parking for cars. People not happy. I feel sorry for the Businesses. Its time for a change in council and a new Mayor.
About me
When living in Temuka,I worked for 10 years, with intellectually handicapped and before that 10 years working in rest homes. I had been the activities coordinator, when I was working with IHC. I would organise events, eg dances, outings, running residents to workshops. I am honest, reliable, hardworking. I love meeting people.
My priorities
- Council to consult with the people about projects they are doing. That is not happening.
- Push for a fresh water tap in all wards. It will benefit the people.
- Push for dog registration to be reduced. People that are on fixed incomes cannot afford to pay.
