The mayor is the leader of the council. Their job is to promote a vision for the district and lead the development of the council’s plans, policies and budget. Why I'm standing
I believe our mayor and councillors are not visible to our community and there are patterns of waste over the past decades that are not being interrupted. I believe under my leadership there will be a level of integrity that will be palpable.
About me
I have been retired from being an Electrician for 4 years, I have completed senior programs with Landmark Worldwide as personal growth and development courses since 1998. I have been assisting in the wisdom area since 2011 and engage with participants internationally via zoom. I work effectively with teams of people consistently producing extraordinary results. Through key values of integrity, accountability and effectiveness to name a few.
My priorities
- Impact the financial accountability, such that we could minimise our losses.
- Work closely with tangata whenua, what are they saying that I am interested in developing.
- Impact housing and youth employment in the larger district.
