Why I'm standing

I'm standing for election because I love our community. We live in the best place with the best people, but I think we could do better at being more accessible and inclusive of all who live here, and I want to be part of making that change.

About me

I have considerable experience in community-facing and service roles and have invested in building strong relationships across the Eastern Bay. My work history includes flight instruction, pūtaiao/science outreach education, iwi radio broadcasting, language consultancy, various volunteer roles and, in recent years, in the public service supporting the work of local Members of Parliament. My experience has given me a solid understanding of both the needs of our community and how to make meaningful change.

My priorities
  1. Improving the engagement and participation of our wonderfully diverse community in local democracy.
  2. Improve accessibility of spaces, events, and community board meetings, processes and communications.
  3. Ensure funding decisions made by the board are equitable and reflect the diversity of our community.
