Why I'm standing
I want to play my part in making Whangārei one of New Zealand's most desirable districts. This district has given me so much and I have the time to invest in ratepayer representation. I have the energy, network and skillset to deliver results, to keep developing our district and create a safer, vibrant community for all.
About me
I was born here, as were my sons. I have worked here and created long lasting, trusting, relationships. I'm a tireless worker who believes in playing his part in a team environment. I'll listen, take advice and make decisions which I'll own and be accountable for. I surround myself with people who have skills and knowledge in areas I don't. I'm not a one man band, I'm a team player.
My priorities
- Review spend levels to ensure prudent use of ratepayer monies. Reallocate spend to address roading.
- Work with the police to ensure a safer community for all.
- Develop the CBD to allow for inner city living, more parking and connect the CBD to the waterfront.
