Why I'm standing
I am running for election to ensure that Waiuku continues to have experienced, practical and enthusiastic representation on the Franklin Local Board. I am motivated by a deep-seated commitment to the community and the belief that our voice must not just be heard, but acted upon. I am dedicated to addressing the most pressing issues and ensuring Waiuku's special qualities are preserved for future generations.
About me
I am your current Franklin Local Board member with a proven track record of standing up for Waiuku. I have nine years as a City Councillor and multiple terms on the Local Board which give me the insight and political experience to get things done. As a local resident, I am deeply connected to the community. I am committed to providing leadership, accountability and responsiveness to residents, always acting accordingly.
My priorities
- Push Watercare to provide fair water quality to Waiuku residents, alleviating financial burden.
- Advocate for infrastructure to be in place before development to manage future growth.
- Challenge costly Auckland Transport projects and demand accountability for ratepayer money.
