Why I'm standing

Accessibility – The care given to disabled people, kaumātua and mokopuna should be the standard of care for everyone. Equity – Everyone deserves the basics: health, housing and income. Without them, we can't thrive. Environment – The climate crisis is here. We must act now, transition from harmful practices and protect our coast. Wellbeing and the arts – Strengthen wellbeing. A thriving creative industry will grow and give back to our people.

About me

Since standing in the 2022 local body elections, I've been working hard to grow my governance and business acumen experience. I am a former member of the Consumer Council of Gisborne Hospital, a member of the local advisory committee for Fire and Emergency, strongly connected to Arts Access Aotearoa, secretary of OutLine Aotearoa and co-chair for Gizzy Local, and I am also a long-term member of the Green Party. I'm action, not just talk.

My priorities
  1. Ensure a climate-resilient district and fight off-shore forestry companies.
  2. Re-instate the railway network from Gisborne to Napier Port.
  3. Re-invigorate the CBD.
