Why I'm standing

In Hawke's Bay, climate change isn't theory, it's our lived reality. The question is how we adapt together. Adapting our economy and way of living is complex and must be driven by community – councils can't do this alone. I believe our region has the innovation and spirit to adapt well, with council helping to facilitate. I want future generations to be proud of the decisions we make today.

About me

With two terms on Napier City Council, I bring proven governance experience – having led on climate action, coastal hazards and infrastructure. I know where the regional conversations are at and what's needed next, so I can be effective immediately at HBRC. My leadership style is collaborative and solutions-focused, grounded in transparency and integrity. I work hard to bring people together, to understand the problems, and to focus on delivering solutions.

My priorities
  1. Enable community-led adaptation to climate change within nature's limits for flood protection and water use.
  2. Protect biodiversity, wetlands and rivers through community-led restoration.
  3. Strengthen council with clear strategy, sound decisions and transparency for good governance.
