Why I'm standing

I am running because Napier faces a climate emergency – 71% of homes risk flooding, yet action is delayed until 2030. As an engineer and parent, I refuse to accept bureaucratic inaction while families and businesses remain vulnerable.

About me

I bring technical expertise as a chartered engineer, governance experience as an environmental commissioner, and a track record of delivering infrastructure. I will demand accountability, co-govern with iwi, and prioritise equity, ensuring no community is left behind in climate adaptation.

My priorities
  1. Fast-track coastal barriers and wetland restoration by 2026, as 71% of homes are flood-prone.
  2. Enforce industrial nitrate limits, as 35% of aquifers exceed safe levels, harming health and water.
  3. Reverse bus cuts and subsidise fares, as transport costs rose 48%, hurting seniors and students.
