The Hibiscus and Bays Local Board is one of 21 local boards in Auckland. The local board makes a plan for your area and decides on local issues, activities and facilities. It also oversees council services and facilities in your area, including libraries and parks. The local board is made up of eight members. Members are elected to represent different subdivisions within the local board area. four members will be elected from your area. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper.     Provide seed funding to initiate waste and energy audits of local businesses and support schemes that recognise businesses taking part.

    Support business districts by encouraging and funding safety audits and crime-free initiatives.

  • Expand economic development funding to include a wider array of organisations that could support local economic benefits.
