Backing the Bays

| Chair, Hibiscus and Bays Local Board

Why I'm standing

I love the Bays and want our community to continue being the best place for families to grow and thrive. I've had some great wins as Chair of the local board and I have another big action plan I want to see delivered for our community over the next term.

About me

I am experienced in strategy and policy development, planning, and preparing multi-million dollar budgets. My expertise in evidence-based decision-making and public consultation ensures your rates contribute to projects and services that deliver. I bring a professional background in policy analysis and communications and I have served as Chair of the local board for the last 18 months. I am well-connected in the Bays and serve as a Justice of the Peace.

My priorities
  1. Improve public spaces so they better meet social, recreational and environmental needs.
  2. Utilise community partners like Auckland Prison for cost-effective native plants and park furniture.
  3. Introduce more sedimentation monitoring on building sites to reduce runoff in the marine reserve.
