Why I'm standing
I would like to share my interest in the local community, and my experience in planning and project management, by participating on the Local Board and aiming to make East Coast Bays the most highly regarded area to live in. We have a beautiful environment and the challenge we have is preservation along with controlled expansion in order to provide the future of the Bays to our families, visitors, and Auckland.
About me
I'm an experienced commercial manager with a strong background in finance, contracts, procurement, sales, and operations. A key aspect of my experience is managing financial responsibility and accountability. I've led teams and projects, audit functions, and my background in FMCG provides me with grounding on delivery to the customer, ie ratepayers. I'm a keen advocate for sustainability and have been involved with several boards and committees.
My priorities
- Address beaches' recurring issues of stormwater overflow, contamination of streams and closing of beaches.
- Redraft the proposal for the East Coast Bays community centre and open pedestrian access at Browns Bay.
- Introduce mixed recycling collections and expand frequencies at parks and beaches.
