Why I'm standing

I have been a business owner and am heavily invested in ensuring that the bays is a safe, resilient and connected place to thrive. As an incumbent local board member, I am the lead for resilience in East Coast Bays and I’ve been instrumental in setting up hubs with more to come.

About me

I volunteer for Community Patrol to help reduce the potential of crime. As chair for North Shore Neighbourhood Support, I belong to the North Shore Safety Network working with Police, Neighbourhood Support, Community Patrol, Māori and Pacifica Wardens and Auckland Transport Safety. This network was set up for a more coordinated approach to help police curb crime across the North Shore. I stood for council to keep my community safe and operate effectively in this space.

My priorities
  1. Strengthen community resilience groups and maintain momentum to prepare communities for emergencies.
  2. Reject proposals to up-zone and intensify Browns Bay and Mairangi Bay as they are flood plains.
  3. Advocate for enhanced town centre maintenance in Full Facilities Contract renewals coming up.
