Backing the Bays

Why I'm standing

I am standing for the Hibiscus and Bays Local Board with the experienced and high performing Backing the Bays team because I am passionate about ensuring the Bays area continues to thrive and grow. I love living in the Bays and want to work to fix our transport, community and recreational facilities so that we can keep our diverse population active, healthy and safe.

About me

I am a highly experienced chief executive and governor with over 31 years of experience. I'm the current CEO of Harbour Sport, leading efforts to empower and strengthen our community through physical activity, health and well-being. Having lived a life dealing with mild cerebral palsy, I am also a passionate advocate for inclusivity and championing opportunities for people with disabilities. I have sat on and advised numerous community, school and sporting boards over many years.

My priorities
  1. Improve public spaces so they better meet social, recreational and environmental needs.
  2. Improve roading, paving and transport systems, particularly the Glenvar and East Coast Roads project.
  3. Advocate for improved accessibility to all areas and local beaches for people with disabilities.
