Why I'm standing

The North Shore is my home. I moved here after I married my wife, and I want to make my new community the best that it can be. But all is not right. Kaipātiki Local Board has lost its way and continues to waste our rates on the optional extras instead of the core essentials. I'm an ordinary person – not a politician. But someone had to step up, and that's what I did.

About me

I have worked as a full-time registered nurse for 10 years. My job has always been to provide a service to the community. At first, I worked in rest homes, looking after our most vulnerable. Now I teach the next generation of nurses in modern technology. When I can, I also donate blood. I am here to do good, and I lead by example – it is the only way to bring real change.

My priorities
  1. Get the basics right by fixing the potholes, muddy paths and the flooding in our parks.
  2. Cut wasteful spending by stopping vanity projects that don't deliver real benefits for residents.
  3. Champion democracy and equal rights for all, regardless of race.
