Why I'm standing

I am just finishing my second term and feel that there is unfinished business in terms of the Sounds roads, the Te Hoiere project and the transition to Local Water Done Well. I enjoy council and still feel that I have something to offer and can help people with their day-to-day issues as well as the larger Marlborough-wide issues. I believe the region still has huge potential.

About me

I am a long-term Sounds and Marlborough resident and I believe that I have a good knowledge of the local issues and concerns. I have had considerable governance experience and can make balanced decisions based on the well-being of all. I am committed, hard working and motivated. I understand the rural voice as well as urban issues and am prepared to advocate for our ward and will continue to make myself available to help.

My priorities
  1. Ensure integrated management of the Sounds.
  2. Ensure that the Te Hoiere project is sustainable into the future and that the catchment thrives.
  3. Ensure that visitation to the Marlborough area is managed through stewardship and that businesses survive.
