Why I'm standing

I'm running for Selwyn District Council because, at 18, I know young people are being priced out of Rolleston. I want to ensure council decisions today don't make it impossible for the next generation to live, work, and thrive here. I want to bring a fresh, energetic perspective that represents young people's voices and new ideas for an affordable, sustainable, and inclusive Rolleston.

About me

I will make a good elected representative because I bring energy, commitment, and a fresh perspective to council. At 18, I understand young people's challenges which are the future of this amazing district. I have run free weekly fitness classes in Rolleston for over three years, completed over 500 hours volunteering with SVA, partnered with the Ministry of Education, and held leadership roles as Head Boy which taught me to listen, collaborate, and lead effectively.

My priorities
  1. Increase transparency in council decisions so young people and residents understand and trust rates.
  2. Cut wasteful council spending to keep rates fair and services affordable for all residents.
  3. Prioritise youth in council decisions as 45% of Rolleston is under 35 therefore our voice matters.
