Why I'm standing

I am running because the current council is not listening to the public and is making decisions based on what they think the public needs, not on what the public is saying. I cannot stand by and let council continue driving the debt past the current $280 million to date. When elected, I will apply my 30 years of experience in business to vote against wasteful spending and stop debt growth.

About me

I am a person who applies themselves, finishes what they start and brings a business acumen this council is not applying. I am an independent candidate with no political agenda. I believe politics has no place in local council and the council should follow public consensus on issues and directives to avoid redressing decisions made in isolation from public opinion. I will be transparent.

My priorities
  1. Stop rate rises by reducing spending on non-essentials and look at debt reduction as soon as possible.
  2. Actively look into returning chemical-free water to Selwyn.
  3. Govern with council synergy that listens and delivers on the community's voice with no flip-flopping.
