Why I'm standing

I am passionate about Thames and the Coromandel. I believe continued representation is key to informed decision making and have worked hard to ensure I have upskilled and networked into the best I can be. I have continually sought out views from the wider community to ensure everyone is represented and kept informed of what decisions are to be made and how they can have a say.

About me

I consider due diligence and research key to this job and read everything we're presented with plus more besides. I have a masters degree in science, and can think critically about the vast range of issues our council deals with. I am a people person and have built and nurtured connections and networks to help keep me grounded in the community.

My priorities
  1. Spend time in all wards and communities to ensure always bringing a district-wide approach to the table.
  2. Create a communications plan for everyday matters of council and make it easy for all to get involved.
  3. Engage with the Māori ward councillor to find out how their role can be supported by other members.
