Why I'm standing

I am running to ensure Waiheke remains a world that works for everyone. I've experienced firsthand the challenge of unaffordable housing and am personally invested in the future of our island. We must protect what makes Waiheke special while also making it a place where local families can thrive.

About me

I will be a strong representative because I'm personally invested in our community's future. With a 30-year connection to Waiheke and as a father raising my family here, I have a deep understanding of the island's challenges. As the GM of the Waiheke Community Housing Trust, I have a proven track record of building relationships and delivering solutions. My professional background has given me skills to be a competent, independent, and effective advocate for Waiheke.

My priorities
  1. Fight to rebalance the housing market to ensure Waiheke is affordable for our families and workers.
  2. Protect our essential natural environment and make sure development is thoughtful and sustainable.
  3. Advocate for a fairer share of funding from council to properly support Waiheke's unique needs.
