Why I'm standing

I am proud to call Hamilton home and am seeking re-election to keep driving meaningful progress at WRC. I believe our environment is the heart of Waikato's identity and wellbeing – it must be protected with urgency and care. I bring strong governance experience, a collaborative spirit and a clear focus on results. I want to cut through distractions and deliver real action. Together, we can ensure WRC leads boldly, safeguards our future and reflects the values our communities deserve.

About me

I am passionate about serving our communities with strong governance, teamwork and real understanding. I believe in respectful debate because listening leads to smarter decisions. I know the financial pressure many face, and I am pushing for better funding tools beyond rates and debt. That way, we can invest in our region's future without adding to the burden. Together, we can build a Waikato that is fair, future-focused and thriving.

My priorities
  1. Advocate for public transport that is frequent and reliable, including Te Huia passenger rail.
  2. Collaborate to uphold and enhance council effectiveness in serving the community.
  3. Protect the environment for now and future generations. Protecting and enhancing biodiversity is key.
