Ensure that the Waikato Regional Council provides resources to harbourmasters and other maritime organisations to maintain a high level of water safety.
Continue to partner with community transport providers in areas of the region not serviced by public transport.
Ensure the monitoring costs passed on to consent holders reflect the true cost of monitoring without additional margin.
Ensure the region is ready and able to respond in civil defence emergencies and natural disasters.
Ensure that all dealings regarding water are open, accountable and transparent.
Maintain public ownership of all water services.
