Why I'm standing

This ward is my home of 26 years and I’m deeply committed to our community. Now is a pivotal time for our district and for local government, with potentially transformational reforms in resource management and local government systems coming down the line, while we’re still bedding in Three Waters reform and completing our new district plan process under dynamic economic conditions. I want to use my experience to help ensure we get the best outcomes.

About me

I’ve served as your councillor for the last six years. I have a BCom in Management and Marketing, I’m a qualified RMA commissioner and a member of the NZ Institute of Directors. My experience spans successful business ownership, agriculture, horticulture and founding the Waimak Lifestyle Block Group. I’m dedicated full-time to this role and to working hard for our community at grassroots, district and regional levels to achieve a better future for us all.

My priorities
  1. Deliver sustainable environmental and financial management for this generation and the next.
  2. Plan sensibly in rural areas, villages and towns because futures depend on it.
  3. Ensure infrastructure is up to the challenge in the face of an uncertain future.
