Why I'm standing

As a lifelong resident and fan of Wellington, I want to shift the focus from the council itself to the people it serves. Party-political voting, poorly prioritised spending and lax project management have jeopardised our water, drainage and streets. I want the City Council to be known for clear communication, genuine consultation, objective decision-making and working hard to restore Wellington as a thriving city.

About me

I'm a transport planner with extensive senior-level international experience. I've worked to tight budgets and strict timelines, including supporting the successful Sydney and London Olympics. I've always delivered value for money, including roading projects that don't need rework and sustainable transport schemes that haven't set one group of road users against another. The Eastern Suburbs are my home and I have a lifelong involvement in community service and was a city councillor 2016-19.

My priorities
  1. Ensure that council's decisions are sound and put the city and its residents and businesses first.
  2. Ensure that the new Mt Victoria tunnel proceeds with fit-for-purpose walking and cycling facilities.
  3. Work with NZTA to reconfigure the Basin Reserve area to facilitate easier travel by all modes.
