Why I'm standing
I'm standing to bring a strategic, empathetic, and data-driven point of view to ensure our children find Whanganui better than we did. That our local businesses thrive, resulting in higher wages, not higher rates. Lastly, so I can serve the people through this inflationary period that has caused so much harm to so many of our people.
About me
With 16 years of experience in business development, I consistently focus on delivering outcomes without additional cost. We must continue to keep our rates low while investing in our future, growing our economy, and removing obstacles to success.
My priorities
- Reduce maximum rate increase to focus on household income inflation not CPI inflation.
- Create an objective and transparent dashboard for how the council works and how it prioritises initiatives.
- Focus on an economic development plan that creates higher wages and more opportunities.
