Why I'm standing

It's not about us but the generations to come that we do this mahi. To shift the culture of politics that alienates a lot of the community, we need to ensure our elected representatives are proactively meeting and engaging with various intersections of the community in their spaces rather than sticking to their own. This has been a critical factor in developing the apathy for today's politics.

About me

With the experience of co-founding community organisations, doing political and community advocacy and my current work as a community support worker for Kahui Tu Kaha as well as at Epsom Lodge Salvation Army. The skills and community relationships that come with give a grounding for the mahi of an elected representative. Mixed with a background in project management across logistics and digital ecosystems, I bring a diversified perspective to local politics.

My priorities
  1. Citizen assembly structures to create accountability around how different communities are consulted.
  2. Supporting renters' rights through advocating the Renters United Healthy Homes commitment.
  3. Applying a Te Tiriti equitable lens in engagement, planning and policy development.
