Why I'm standing
Auckland can be a leading city for liveability, sustainability, education, mobility, employment. A safe, caring city with low crime, catering for those with disabilities, healthy engaged communities, affordable housing, a revitalised Hauraki Gulf, Manukau and Kaipara Harbours, zero predators and expanded park space for the growing population, a great place to bring up children and to live; a city to be proud of, a place that people want to visit and enjoy.
About me
Experience as an Auckland councillor, born, raised and educated in Auckland, married, two children. I graduated Auckland Uni with a commerce degree in business, marketing, strategy, environmental studies, law, accounting, etc returning for project management. I can read a balance sheet, understand a critical path, market survey, legal document, communicate effectively. Owner/manager businesses. As a member of Toastmasters I competed over some years representing Auckland region and winning the NZ speech title for impromptu speaking.
My priorities
- Lift council/CCOs performance – more efficient, effective, transparent, accountable, democratic.
- Achieve stretch targets to improve transport mobility, reduce emissions, affordable homes, safe city.
- A great vibrant city where people want to live, work, educated, shop, play, raise children, retire.
