Bay of Plenty Regional Council

Rotorua Constituency
The Bay of Plenty Regional Council makes decisions about managing resources in the region, such as air, water, soil and the coastline. It also carries out plant and pest control, helps prepare for natural disasters, and is involved in regional transport. The council is made up of 14 councillors. Councillors are elected to represent constituencies (areas in the region). Two councillors will be elected from the Rotorua constituency. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper. Why I'm standing

Continued work of the regional council that i've been involved in for the last six years. We have seen significant improvements in fresh water quality programmes.

About me

Ive been involved in fresh water improvements of the 12 Rotorua Te Arawa Lakes since 2004. Continued support from local communities and the crown are key to further advancements.

My priorities
  1. Continued support for our fresh water improvements programmes of the 12 Rotorua Te Arawa Lakes.
  2. Continued support for volunteer land care, weed and pest control programme groups.
  3. Increased monitoring and enhancement of our environment.
