Why I'm standing

I'm motivated by the urgent need to do all we can to leave a more sustainable planet for my children, your children and our future generations. The regional council has a key role to play in oversight and regulation, but also in encouraging new initiatives from the community to help solve some of the many problems we face.

About me

I'm a dad with a background in hospitality sector business and education. I'm a proud Rotorua local. I'll work hard to ensure Rotorua is fairly represented around the regional council table and that we have a regular local opportunity for you to feedback into the council's work plan. Rotorua needs a fresh local voice at the regional decision making table, so environmental and climate issues become to be a priority for us all.

My priorities
  1. Take climate change action now. We are in a crisis, facing negligence through complacency and denial.
  2. Reform of our water infrastructure, working in partnership with Māori.
  3. Explore potential of regenerative tourism and how council can partner for better environmental outcomes.
