Hawke's Bay Regional Council

Why I'm standing
Regional councillors can make a difference to the environment and the economy of Hawke's Bay. We all love living here, but we can do better in both.
About me
I have lived in The Bay most of my life. I have been immersed in the community through school boards and for ten years as a rowing coach. For the past 12 years, I have been CEO of Mitre 10 Sports Park. It was a paddock when we started and this year will attract 500,000 people. Our team got things done, and I intend to do the same as a regional councillor.
My priorities
- Water, water and water. Sensible storage of water is a win for the environment and our economy.
- Community partnerships. Tree planting volunteers are showing the way. We can expand this.
- My two main priorities are above. There are multiple third priorities, cycle paths, parks...
