Why I'm standing

I care deeply for the environment and the future of our region. I want to represent the environment's view on every issue to ensure our region is a place to treasure for generations to come. I believe that our community is able to solve all the problems we face and I want council to interact in new ways with community to get the very best outcome for our land and people.

About me

I am currently a Hastings District Councillor which has given me the governance experience to ensure I can deliver at regional council from day one. As a certified Resource Management Act commissioner, I know how to work within the system to effect change. Our new Regional Spatial Plan needs councillors who can work across councils to get the best outcomes for our whole region and community, work I feel well placed to do.

My priorities
  1. Better structured community relationships to prepare and ensure resilience for a changing climate.
  2. Biodiversity. Growing and protecting the re-establishment of a vibrant bio-diverse environment.
  3. Water. Protection, enhancement and care of water to ensure it's future availability for everyone.
