Why I'm standing

I am passionate about Napier and have enjoyed being involved in ensuring effective growth and maintenance of our city. I believe that our city is the best, but it can always be better.

About me

My passion and experience make me a good elected representative. I draw from fifteen years as a council representative as well as a career in the NZ Police, effective business management and significant involvement in the sporting community. Over my years in council I have chaired Tourism and Economic Development, Infrastructure, been on the Hawke's Bay Land Transport Committee, Coastal Hazard Committee and Regional Park Committee as well as numerous other roles and groups.

My priorities
  1. Water. Updating our infrastructure for effective provincial management of our Three Waters is essential.
  2. Safety. Support the public feedback on safety, using city assist to meet the public needs.
  3. Sea level rise. Napier is vulnerable due to the landscape. Investigate effects and plan.
