Why I'm standing

I want an approachable, pragmatic, sensible council. I want a council that has grit and tenacity. I want a council that is action focused on getting things fixed. And I want it to be prudent and conservative when spending my/our rates money.

About me

Yes, I will make a good representative on council. I bring heart, soul, brains and courage. I am a qualified chartered director. And have been involved in evaluating high performing boards. I know how councils work and what needs to be done. Experience counts. I have built a reputation for getting "stuck in". I am not standing for council for any ego or vanity reasons. I just want to make a difference. Simple.

My priorities
  1. Protect and heal the harbour, the inlet and the water ways. We don't get a second chance.
  2. Fix it – Stop the sewage waste treatment plant overflows. Fix the flooding. Stop the leaks.
  3. Be smart about urban growth – consider the social and environmental impacts (eg. protect the swamp).
